Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of this app. They are written in plain English on purpose. They are not legal advice — have a lawyer read them before you take money from anyone.

The short version

Use the app, keep your own data, don't attack the service. It is provided as-is. Nothing is for sale in this version.

Using the app

You may use the app for your own personal and household expense tracking. You may not:

• resell it, rent it out, or pass it off as your own
• take it apart to extract our source, except where the law says you may
• attack, overload or probe the service, or try to reach data that is not yours
• use it to break the law or somebody else's rights

You are responsible for your account and for anyone you invite into your household.

Your data is yours

You keep every right to the expenses, receipts, lists and budgets you put in. We claim nothing over them. We hold what is needed to run the service and nothing more — the privacy policy sets out exactly what that is.

You can export everything from Settings at any time, and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account.

Receipt scanning is a best effort

Receipt reading uses an AI model. It gets things wrong — a misread price, a missed line, a wrong category. Every scan is yours to review before it is saved, and the app is built so that you can.

Do not rely on it for taxes, accounting, legal filings, or any decision where being wrong costs you money. It is a convenience for tracking your own spending.

Price comparisons, restock reminders and inflation figures are calculated from what you entered. They describe your own history — they are not financial advice and they are not a prediction.

Money

Nothing is for sale in this version. Family sharing, which is intended to be a paid feature, is included at no cost right now.

When paid plans start:

• the price, the billing period and what you get will be shown before you are charged
• subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you cancel wherever you bought it
• refunds follow the rules of the store you bought through

We will not start charging for something you already have without telling you first.

Accounts

You need an account only to share a household. You must give an email address you control, and you must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. We can suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or harm other users.

Availability

We will try to keep it running. We are not promising it always will be. The service can change, break, or be interrupted, and features can be added or withdrawn. The app keeps working offline for solo use, which is deliberate: your own records do not depend on our servers being up.

As-is, and the limit of what we owe you

The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data beyond what we hold for you. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of what you have paid us in the last 12 months or $50.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is so, they do not apply to you, and you keep the rights your local law gives you.

Ending it

You can stop any time — delete your account in Settings, or just delete the app. We can end your access if you break these terms. Whatever ends, you keep your right to export your data first wherever we are able to give it to you.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top is always the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is resident, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
